The Sippican Lands Trust (SLT) is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 with the mission to acquire, preserve, and protect land in the Town of Marion for the long-term conservation of open space and to encourage appreciation, knowledge and healthy engagement of the natural world.
Ways to Give to Sippican Lands Trust
Stock
You can donate a gift of your stock. By giving publicly-traded securities to SLT, you may have significant savings on capital gains tax.

IRA
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can donate up to $111,000 in 2026 annually tax-free from your traditional IRA. This donation must be made directly from the custodian of your IRA to Sippican Lands Trust; it is 100 % nontaxable and will not impact your Medicare Income-Related Monthly Adjustment.
If you are 73 or older this contribution counts towards your Required Minimum Distribution.

If you have a Donor Advised Fund, please consider recommending a grant to Sippican Lands Trust. This donation can be designated to where it’s needed most: Annual Fund, Land Acquisition, Stewardship or Endowment.
