Come with us to Cuba and return with stories of a place very few American have yet to experience! Sippican Lands Trust and Cuba Up Close™ have teamed up to offer an exclusive Sippican Lands Trust Cuba Tour from Saturday, November 2 to Saturday, November 9, 2019. This trip will feature eight days and seven nights exploring Cuba and its people, history, architecture, food, and culture. Check this trip off your bucket list and visit a unique country that has changed little in over 50 years!
The Sippican Lands Trust Cuba Tour will feature private tours of authentic Cuba as you experience the warmth, friendliness and vibrancy of this island nation in the Caribbean. As part of your tour, you will travel to Old Havana, visit the National Museum of Natural History, bask in the sun at the beautiful beaches of Cayo Jutias, and soak in in the amazing art at the Museo de Bellas Artes (including a private tour of the museum). Local tour guides will offer an insightful and fun look into the art, music, food and culture that makes Cuba an incredible country to visit. You will tour Ernest Hemingway’s old haunts in Havana, explore the historic Bay of Pigs coast and take a trip to an UNESCO world heritage site.
Part of the trip itinerary also includes an opportunity to learn more about the local conservation initiatives in Cuba. Trip participants will meet a former Cuban Minister of Agriculture and examine the history of agriculture and land use in this island nation.
This once-in-a-lifetime travel experience is priced at $3,900 (airfare not included) and includes a partial donation to Sippican Lands Trust to support their land conservation work in Marion, Massachusetts. Cuba Up Close™ will prepare and organize all necessary documentation to enter Cuba and to travel within the country.
Trip dates run from Saturday, November 2 to Saturday, November 9 with a round trip flight on Jet Blue (airfare not included) from Boston to Havana. Breakfast and lunch, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and airport transfers are included as part of this trip package. Additional expenses include passport fees, travel visas, dinners, alcohol, gifts, gratuities and airfare.
Cuba Up Close™ started when Jean Fuller Gest, its founder, traveled to Cuba as part a food delegation and fell in love Cuba and its people. A business was born to bring travelers to this unique island in the Caribbean.
